My name is Berenike Poropudas, and I live since March 2023 in the beautiful city of Tampere, Finland.
Also since March 2023, I am working as a self-employed book editor and German language teacher.
Before that, I was working for the Westermann Gruppe in Germany as a book editor in the department for German primary school learning materials. So my expertise lies in editing learning materials for German, both as one’s mother tongue as well as a second or foreign language.
However, as you will see on this page, my pool of wisdom stretches further than just to the German language.
While playing the recorder and piano is now only a hobby of mine, I studied instrumental peadagogic and worked as a teacher for the recorder and early childhood musical education. Music is a passion of mine and always will be, so I am always happy when one of my projects requires my musical expertise.

In my spare time, I also like to be creative. Next to writing poems each month and share them with a friend of mine, I like to crochet. My last big crochet project were the flowers I made for my own wedding. They constituted of the groom’s boutonnière, my hair decorations as well as the traditional flower bouquet. The lovely Salla Piirainen interviewed me about the flowers I crocheted for my wedding, and you can read the article on kotiliesi‘s homepage:
